All life castings, whether hands feet, bodies or faces, are done with 100% safe, non-toxic alginate, similar to products used in high-end spas and salons for seaweed wraps.
The following is a short overview of the face casting process:
- Step 1. Alginate is applied to area to be cast
- The face is covered in alginate with the exception of the nostrils.
- Step 2. Cheese cloth is applied to the alginate
- Step 3. Plaster is painted over the top of the Cheese cloth to provide a rigid outer shell
- Step 4. The plaster is allowed to set up and harden. Then the mold is removed
- Step 5. Mold is filled with desired casting material.
- Step 6. The casting is removed, but clean up needs to be done.
- Step 7. The final casting after clean up.
