All life castings, whether hands feet, bodies or faces, are done with 100% safe, non-toxic alginate, similar to products used in high-end spas and salons for seaweed wraps.
The following is a short overview of the body casting process:
- Step 1 Alginate is applied to area to be cast
- Step 2 Cheese cloth is applied to the alginate
- Step 3 Plaster is painted over the top of the Cheese cloth to provide a rigid outer shell
- Step 4 A layer of fiberglass and plaster is applied on top of the plaster and cheese cloth. The plaster is allowed to set up and harden.
- Step 5 The mold is removed from the body.
- Step 6 Mold is filled with desired casting material.
- Step 7 The casting is finished in your choice of styles.
